TheEngine is TheTop’s intelligent operating layer for enterprise AI. Configured around each organization’s existing AI stack, it gives leaders control over how AI runs, while continuously improving performance and lowering costs without replacing existing tools.

Optimization begins with memory. TheEngine reuses relevant context, caches repeated requests, and routes tasks to the right model, reducing unnecessary model calls and spend. Savings are measured against each organization’s own baseline. Policy enforcement puts AI policies into action. Organizations upload their policies, approve each rule, and decide when enforcement begins. TheEngine checks every request against those rules, catches covered sensitive data before it reaches a model, limits use to approved models and providers, and includes a kill switch to stop AI use by key, person, or team. The Transparency Dashboard shows AI usage, spend, and performance, plus savings and policy blocks when TheEngine is active.
