As the Education Principal, Jonathan Morley focuses on the “human” side of the FinOps Framework: helping practitioners advance their careers as accredited professionals. Jonathan instructs the Foundation’s training, oversees the Mentorship Program, and leads Advanced Practitioner cohorts, turning cutting-edge concepts into actionable best practices.
Jonathan brings 15 years of technical perspective to the Foundation. Having spent a decade as a Software Engineer at CME Group before transitioning through cost optimization into FinOps, he understands the friction—and the collaboration—required to bridge the gap between business and technology.
When he isn’t instructing or connecting community members, you can find Jonathan somewhere on a cruise ship or forming unlikely friendships with wild animals near his home in Chicagoland. (Yes, the raccoon stories are real.)
