Governments and other Public Sector organizations are modernizing IT infrastructure and applications, adopting AI and optimizing their use of cloud, SaaS, and data centers. Whether public or private, every organization seeks to avoid waste, optimize their technology usage and costs, make decisions faster, and create more value out of their IT investments.
Public sector communities in regions around the world meet to collaborate on best practices, to share insights, and to support one another. Public sector technology use can be challenging, particularly in areas like procurement, budgeting, cost allocation, practice management and FinOps tooling. Many of these regional public sector communities have developed helpful content specific to their challenges. In particular, adoption of FOCUS™ as a common billing specification is being done in several regions.
The FinOps Foundation supports recurring public sector community calls for these regions:
If you’re a public sector FinOps Practitioner interested in joining one of these Communities, please attend a Community Call, contact your Community Lead, or send a note to hello@finops.org to ask for an invitation.
